re:solve photo shoot

We had a great time with friends doing the photo shoot for re:solve apparel.  Rustin Klafka is the photographer who took the pics - you can check him and his work out at www.one26photography.com
Thanks to Jeb, Aleece, Chase, Julie, Kailee, Patrick, and Parker for letting us borrow their pretty faces for the pictures!
We hope to have some stuff online pretty soon so re:solve apparel can start being 'tshirts that change' instead of 'tshirts that are sitting in boxes at my house' - until then, check out some of the pics!

Railway Kids of India shirt design

When I first realized that I was going to pursue this idea for re:solve apparel, the first cause that I knew I wanted to back was the railway kids of India.  I have a personal connection with these kids I have had the opportunity to see them with my own eyes on each of my 3 trips to India.  Thousands of children make their homes at the railway stations.  Many were abandoned there as babies or infants...others were drawn to life at the railway stations due to abuse or neglect at home.  Whatever the reasons are these kids are faced with many dark realities of homelessness, poverty, abuse, addiction, and crime.
The good news is that many organizations are beginning to work with these kids.  I am involved in an organization that is doing awesome things with these children.  They are currently working in 8 railway stations across North India, providing homes, education, food, medical attention, and most importantly an opportunity to change their entire lives.
Proceeds from this shirt will go towards this organization as they continue to provide opportunities to these beautiful children.

homeless shirt design #1

I finished this design just a few minutes ago.  I'm thinking we will print this on a white shirt and have a v-neck option available for those that rock the Vs.  As I was thinking about this phrase I wondered how much sense does it make to a homeless person.  The unfortunate reality is that many in our country of abundance do not have a place to call 'home' - I guess it would be nic home was really just where you heart is...but I realize thats easier said when you have a real home.  I am thinking about doing a 'buy one, give one' model with this shirt.  For each shirt bought I will give a shirt or blanket to a homeless person in Lubbock, Texas.

Unclean Water design #1

I just completed the first of the clean water shirt designs.  I have printed some samples of this design yesterday, and I have to admit...its my new favorite shirt - hands down!

re:solve apparel - 'the game plan'

re:solve apparel is about change.  It is a journey in discovering how to couple your acumen, passions, opportunities, and gifts with the world's greatest needs.  We are among the next generation of smart philanthropists: social entrepreneurs.  As a fully functioning screen printing business with top-notch equipment, productivity, and expertise, re:solve seeks to make an impact that will power change.  The 'bottom line' for re:solve is human-centered design around four elements that we believe can bring about change:  awareness, connection, discussion, solution.

The two spokes of re:solve apparel are:
+Cause-driven t-shirts that serve as a tool for awareness, connection, discussion, and solution.  These shirts are to be sold via online stores with hopes to have a presence in the retail market.  At least 50% of all profits will go directly towards social action as we power effective organizations to continue making progress for change.
+Customized screen printing for 'solution-centered' organizations.  We desire to partner with 'solution-centered' businesses and non-profits to provide them with affordable and high-quality screen printed apparel.  re:solve seeks more than a business relationship with these organizations, with the hope to partner in a way that fuels their continued success and provides awareness and connection of opportunities.  Portions of the profit for customized screen printing will also be given directly towards solutions.

re:solve apparel is about change...are you?
